Did you know...

... that today is the birthday of Chicago? On March 12, 1773,
Jean Baptiste Pointe du Sable founded the first settlement on
the sight of present-day Chicago, Illinois. Du Sable, the
first known nonindigenous settler in the area, was declared
the Founder of Chicago by the State of Illinois and the City
of Chicago on October 26, 1968.
